In late 2016 and early 2017, Johannes developed the iOS app for Crumble, a location based social network. Users can leave and explore messages at locations around the world and get notified if new ones appear in their neighborhood. Moreover, the app displays civil defense alarms on a map and sends alerts when users approach regions that are currently in danger.

From a technical perspective, the app uses state of the art development techniques as of early 2017. It was completely written in Swift 3.0, takes advantage of Auto Layout (VFL) for dynamically resizable views and uses many APIs that were first introduced in iOS 9 and 10.

The project was realized in collaboration with KIM Keep In Mind. Specifically, KIM supervised the project and developed all necessary backend services, based on Elixir and Phoenix.

As of March 2017, Crumble can be downloaded from the App Store.
